- If you're talking about the anti-reflective coating that they put on
- regular glass/plasic lenses, there are 3 downsides I can think of:

- 1) They get dirty really quickly.
- 2) They are really hard to get super clean, so if you are picky about
- having really clean lenses, you'll have to get used to these.
- 3) The coating tends to get scratched if you're not careful (you should
- use a soft cloth, even on glass lenses).

- I have used anti-reflective coatings for years and have always found
- the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
