  36. Each winter students from around the nation come together 
  37. to discuss  critical global issues at Student Pugwash USA's 
  38. National Chapter Conference.  All students with an interest 
  39. in Student Pugwash USA and the issues that we address are  
  40. encouraged to attend.  This year's conference, hosted by  
  41. Georgia Institute of Technology, will focus on new facets of  
  42. global security: international governance, arms issues,  
  43. environment, technology transfer, health and population! 
  44. Students will participate in interactive sessions led by  
  45. experts to discuss issues at the juncture of science and  
  46. society.  In addition, students from chapters across the  
  47. United States will have the opportunity to discuss their plans  
  48. for the coming semester and to develop regional planning  
  49. strategies for the chapter network.
