- There is a great Victorian house for sale/rent on my block. The owner
- would prefer to sell it, but would consider a rental.
-
- The house has a living room with a stained glass window, dining room with
- great built-in cabinets, kitchen with walk-in pantry, 4 bedrooms and a bath
- on the first floor, and the second floor is an entire open space with dormer
- windows, a skylight, and a second bathroom. The backyard is fairly small but
- it is fenced and there's plenty of parking space in the driveway. It's in the
- neighborhood north of USC (between Adams and the 10 freeway and between
- Vermont and Hoover). It's close to the USC B tram route and generally a
- quiet neighborhood, although it's not primarily students in this area.
-
- The asking price for the house is $210,000. The owner has an assumable
- loan for $163,000 and said he would accept a marginal down payment and
- carry the rest for up to 3 years.
-
- He's also open to the idea of a lease option or a rental. Rent would be
- $2,300, and he would prefer a situation where one person rented the house
- from him and sublet rooms to other people.
-
- It would be a very nice house for a USC staff or faculty member with a large
- family, or for someone who does a lot of entertaining. The house will be
- available in January.
-
- If you want more information about the house or the neighborhood, you
- can reply to this post. If you're interested in the house, please call
- the owner, Jim Dunham (213)254-1981.
