  12.   I am not trying to fan the flame on this topic. In fact I believe 
  13.  
  14. that I have stated on more than one occaision that I do indeed have 
  15. friends who are homosexual.
  16.  My problem is not with "homosexual adoption period" My problem is 
  17.  
  18. that there are way more Loving Hetrosexual couples out there who have 
  19. the ability to raise and love a child (even a sick child or crack 
  20. or AIDS baby). They do not need to add to adoptees misery though by 
  21. having the adoptee spend their lives in the home of a Homosexual Couple. 
  22. The idea of adoption is to cause the child to be placed in a home 
  23. with parents who can meet all his/her needs, in today's society condoning 
  24. homosexual behaviour is not condusive to meeting the adoptive child's 
  25. needs. This is due to the HEALTH threat.
  26.  I received Net mail from someone stating that the highest rate of 
  27.  
  28. increase of AIDS is among the Female hetrosexual population. I would 
  29. like to tell you all that the actual highest percentage rate of increase 
  30. in AIDS cases is among Rural Teens. RURAL TEENS. Lets not set an example 
  31. to those who are in the situation of needing to be adopted by increasing 
  32. their exposure to the behaviour that has been known to spread this 
  33. disease.

  36. I would like to hear how any birthmothers/adoptees feel about this 
  37. issue.

  39. I also wouldn't mind if they opted to allow the birth mother the 
  40. opportunity to agree, or not agree, to a homosexual adoption in the 
  41. case of her child. In most states birth parents can ask that their 
  42. children be placed within families of a certian religion, why not 
  43. allow them to chose sexual preference as well?
