  17. I don't regard it as that serious a problem. In the past, the militarys'
  18. excuse for the purges has been that they were a "security risk", fearing
  19. that someone would blackmail them with threat of exposure. All that policy
  20. did was give blackmail a higher chance of success.

  22. I don't see any problem with HIV-positive soldiers either; I think 
  23. they'd be *great* embassy guards; no need to worry about them being
  24. seduced by the locals, causing security or conflict-of-interest
  25. problems....
