  16. So what does it come down to... you're burned out on news? Happens to
  17. a lot of people, and it's not a new problem.

  25. Yeh. I've been on both sides of this (not my fault, UUNET uses the maps
  26. for all routing even for subscribers (dumb) and another subscriber
  27. decided to unilaterally lower his listed rate for his UUNET link...
  28. self inflicted injury). You have to monitor high-cost links. Again,
  29. this isn't a new problem... it's just that high-costs links are now
  30. cheap enough that anyone can afford them.

  35. Well, I was willing to set up a feed for Howard but all my mail to him
  36. seemed to end up in a black hole.

  38. As for commercial sites, FICC gets news and we've found it extremely
  39. valuable. I've also recently had discussions with our customers about
  40. how they'd set up a link like this. The problem comes with feeds to
  41. third parties. It's hard to justify them.
