  14. I think you are mistaken and that GCC 1.42 does work on the SPARC
  15. when used according to directions.  It could easily be that you ran
  16. into the documented incompatibility in calling sequence;
  17. you have not reported checking that possibility.  It is premature
  18. to conclude there is a bug.

  20. Maybe there is a GCC bug.  If so, then if I get a proper bug report
  21. with sufficient information, I'll fix the bug.  But you have not sent
  22. enough information.  Please see the Bugs chapter of the GCC manual to
  23. see what information is needed to make it possible to fix a bug.

  25. By the way, the idea that "GCC2 from Cygnus" is a separate entity with
  26. special relationship to Solaris seems to represent another inaccuracy.
  27. Cygnus has done some of the work of porting GCC 2 to Solaris, but the
  28. changes are all included in version 2.3.
