- I think you are mistaken and that GCC 1.42 does work on the SPARC
- when used according to directions. It could easily be that you ran
- into the documented incompatibility in calling sequence;
- you have not reported checking that possibility. It is premature
- to conclude there is a bug.

- Maybe there is a GCC bug. If so, then if I get a proper bug report
- with sufficient information, I'll fix the bug. But you have not sent
- enough information. Please see the Bugs chapter of the GCC manual to
- see what information is needed to make it possible to fix a bug.

- By the way, the idea that "GCC2 from Cygnus" is a separate entity with
- special relationship to Solaris seems to represent another inaccuracy.
- Cygnus has done some of the work of porting GCC 2 to Solaris, but the
- changes are all included in version 2.3.
