  16. I have installed emacs 18.58 on a 486 running SCO ODT 1.1 (SVR3.2 and
  17. X11R3). I compiled emacs with gcc 2.2.2 
  18. (make CC='gcc -traditional -O' install.sysv), - I did change the 
  19. 'LIBX = -lX11 -lsnl_s' line to 'LIBX = -lX11 -lsocket -lsnl_s' in
  20. src/xmakefile.

  22. My problem is that I'm only able to run emacs once under X! Second
  23. time I try to start emacs, I get the following warnings:

  25. Warning: Client build for newer server!
  26. Warning: Protocol rev. of client does not match server!
  27.  
  28. I have to compile emacs again or to boot the machine to be able to run
  29. emacs one more time under X!
  30.  
  31. Does anybody know what I did wrong???
