  15. I used to use Mess-Dos (years ago). While that's terrible enough in itself, I
  16. have been spoiled by features of "editors" like MS-Word that distinguish
  17. between "hard" and "soft" newlines. Why do I always have to type M-q after
  18. changing something in the middle of a paragraph?

  20. What I would like to have is the following:

  22. Normally, Emacs displays lines that are longer than fill-column by inserting a
  23. backslash at the end and doing a wrap. What I want is to have a _word-wrap_.
