  12.   What instruction do I use to turn of automatic wrap ? To be
  13.   more specific, in my sessions long lines end with a "/" and
  14.   continue to the next line. I would prefer not to see continued
  15.   long lines unless I execute  "C-x <".

  17.   Also, is there an instruction similar to "C-x <" which  might
  18.   allow me to set the mark and, instead of left-scrolling
  19.   the current buffer to the left ( like "C-x <") , instead
  20.   left-scrolls the portion of the buffer to the left of the mark?
