- There is only one way (as far as I've found). When on B/W Pkway, take the Penn.
- Ave exit. This will take you into eastbound Penn Ave. "Whoa," you say, "I wanna
- go west to 395." Well, as soon as you get onto Penn Ave, get onto the leftmost
- lane (this means crossing 3 lanes of traffic). You'll cross a bridge and you'll
- see left turn lanes immediately afterwards. Don't take it since it'll take you
- to B/W Pkway northbound. Instead keep going until you can make a U turn back
- to westbound Penn. Ave. (You have to go through a few lights before you can do
- this.)
-
- Once you're going in the right direction on Penn Ave, cross the bridge again and
- then you'll see signs for 395 South. Follow the signs. At first you'll get on
- Anacostia Freeway, which will finally dump you onto 395.
-
- I know this is very contorted; but believe me, this is about the only way to do
- it. I have a theory that the Highway Admin. people must have run out of money and
- decided to junk the idea of connecting Anacostia Freeway to 295. Any thoughts on
- this?
