- I believe this is the fastest way.
- After heading east on Pa. Ave., turn left at Minnesota, then immediately
- left on the 1st side street, then another left to the alley between
- the liquor store, to another right on Pa. Ave. west, which brings you
- out at the light at the Kenilwoth entrance again.
- The SE/SW freeway is then straight ahead and right on the other side
- of the Sousa bridge. Cross the Potomac and follow signs to National.

-
- This is correct. This new left turn lane has been open about a year now.
- Be warned that DC police are often set up to catch people making the
- illegal U-turn On Pa. ave from going east to going west.
- (There was even a thing on the TV news about how many people were
- ignoring this -- so naturally the cops are now out in force.)
-
-
- Does anyone know
- (a) why a ramp from Kenilworth south to Pa. Ave. west has never been
- built?
- (b) why U-turns are not allowed at the new left turn from Pa. east
- to Kenilworth north?
-
- I see that the Howard road exit is open again, but have not used
- this in many years, and don't remember where it goes.
