  21. Take the Parkway to where you either head down NY Ave, or go left to the
  22. Anacostia Freeway (I think that's its real name);  it's numbered 295.
  23. Follow that south until you reach the exits for the 11th St bridge.

  25. One exit takes you to a detour which leads (via a tortuous route which has
  26. you headed back the way you came for about 20 - 30 seconds) onto 395 S, and
  27. so to the 14th St. bridge to VA, and thus to Nat'l Airport (pay attention
  28. and merge right ASAP when you reach the bridge - the exit for the airport
  29. is the second one after the bridge ends).

  31. The next exit allows one to cloverleaf around (take 3 leaves, there is no
  32. fourth and it would put you back on 295 headed south, anyway) and end up
  33. headed up onto the South Capitol St. bridge.  This is a more exciting trip,
  34. since there's this well-designed no-merge-lane zone at the top of a ramp
  35. directly into 50 mile-per-hour traffic.  You still end up on 395 S, just
  36. a mile or so farther downstream than on the first route, and having risked
  37. your life.
