  12.     I don't know of a method that will batch the updates.  However, I 
  13. usually turn off the visibility of the list widgets while the update is
  14. taking place.  This saves you some time and eliminates the flickering.
  15. Grabbing the server won't work because requests by the client that grabbed the
  16. server will still be acted upon.
