- We have identical symptoms to those of the original post. That is
- characters begin to be lost (on terminals and console) after the
- machine being on continuosly for at least a week. It sometimes
- occurs when there is no disk activity at all (although I don't know
- if this is true when the symptoms first start) so I don't think the
- problem is serial interrupts being lost. I also think CLISTS have
- nothing to do with it as our Specialix I/O port driver does not use
- them.
-
- Our system is Xenix 2.3.4GT running on a 486-33, AT bus, 16 Mb RAM,
- Adaptec 1542b with Wren 7 SCSI disk and Viper 2525 SCSI tape, and
- Specialix card with 24 ports.
-
- The similarities with original poster's system seem to be SCSI,
- Adaptec 1542b and (I think) SCSI tape drive.
