- I'm trying to figure out if just my particular version of the SCO
- Streams Runtime (ver 1.0.0c) is busted or if SCO totally botched the
- streams pipe device configuration.
-
- A botched installation will have a /usr/sys/conf/master file with an
- entry saying:
-
- sp 0 1000 000 sp 0 0 0 1 4 0 0 0 0
-
- A system with stream pipes correctly installed will instead show
- something like:
-
- sp 0 1000 004 sp 0 0 67 1 4 0 0 0 0
- ^^^ ^^
-
- Note that the "67" column need not be a 67 -- but it must be some
- nonzero number.
-
- If your master file entry for `sp' looks like the second and not the
- first, I'd appreciate it a whole bunch if you could let me know that.
- It would also be helpful to know what `grep rel= /etc/perms/streamsrt'
- says and whether or not you've got a /dev/spx node on your system.
