  10. I'm trying to figure out if just my particular version of the SCO
  11. Streams Runtime (ver 1.0.0c) is busted or if SCO totally botched the
  12. streams pipe device configuration.

  14. A botched installation will have a /usr/sys/conf/master file with an
  15. entry saying:

  17.     sp       0  1000 000     sp  0   0   0    1   4    0     0     0   0

  19. A system with stream pipes correctly installed will instead show
  20. something like:

  22.     sp       0  1000 004     sp  0   0  67    1   4    0     0     0   0
  23.              ^^^                ^^

  25. Note that the "67" column need not be a 67 -- but it must be some
  26. nonzero number.

  28. If your master file entry for `sp' looks like the second and not the
  29. first, I'd appreciate it a whole bunch if you could let me know that.
  30. It would also be helpful to know what `grep rel= /etc/perms/streamsrt'
  31. says and whether or not you've got a /dev/spx node on your system.
