- I am about to start a fairly large project for a client and need to know
- whether ODT 2.0 or UNIX 2.3.4 (current levels, whatever they are) is the
- appropriate develpoment/delivery system. We will be connecting PCs with
- both Ethernet and highspeed modems to the delivery system. The
- application is image creation, storage, and retrieval. The plan is to
- use the PCs for both creation and retrieval and the UNIX system for
- storage. We plan to use a multi-level system with spinning magnetic
- media, online optical media, and offline optical media which will be
- mounted on request. Obviously I need the full development system for
- myself and runtime only for the delivered clients.
-
- So gurus, which is better/cheaper/easier to use? ODT or UNIX?
-
- Your attention to this minor problem is appreciated.
