  16. I am having real difficulty with giving access to a variety of users
  17. segemented into different groups to a number of partitions.
  18.  
  19. The general outline is:
  20.  
  21. SUN IPX running NFS/NIS and acting as server for PC/NFS
  22. Users are having problems regardless of method of access
  23. (PCNFS, telnet, direct), so PCNFS appears not to be relevant.
  24.  
  25. Partitioned into several areas for different groups
  26. Partitions are:  /   /home  /usr    /struc   /trans    etc....
  27. Some users (groups) need multi-partition access
  28.  
  29. Adding some users to secondary groups using the groups database works
  30. Adding others to the groups database doesn't work
  31. No particular pattern is apparent
  32. We are getting desparate.

  34. Can you please help out if you have run into this before?
