  12. Local mailbox (pop-3/imap) people have logins of the form

  16. Up until an upgrade from 4.2 to 4.3, they could login ok. Now, the name/passwd
  17. compare is not accepted unless I truncate their login name to <= 8 chars.

  19. Note that pop/imap daemons calling getpass() or crypt() work fine. Its only
  20. direct login which is having problems.
