- Not always, one of the approaches suggested in the excellent TCP
- wrappers package you can get from CERT is doing this, but using the tcpd
- to call it. It enables you to log connections as well as remote user
- names (if you use RFC931 lookups).

- It will also allow/prevent connections from named machines, netmasks,
- netgroups over NIS, people spoofing DNS etc etc etc... :-)
