- Is it possible that you have run "idbuild" since changing /etc/inittab? I
- ran into a similar problem...except that when I'd look, the entry I had
- just added to inittab was gone. It turns out that the "master" inittab
- is in /etc/conf/cf.d/init.base. I *know* that idbuild copies this file
- to /etc/inittab...perhaps other utilities do the same thing.
