- I am running Dell Unix SVR4 Issue 2.2 on a 486/50 with a ProDesigner II
- and a NEC 4FG monitor, I can run xdm in the default VGA mode (640x400)
- with no problem but if I try any higher resolutions (1024x768) it enters
- X Windows with no problem but when it exits xdm it leaves the graphics
- card in the wrong BIOS mode so that I get a wildly rolling screen (like
- horizontal hold was broken). Re entering xdm doesn't help it just comes
- up in the same kind of mode (rolling screen). Rebooting the system is the
- only remedy. Anyone have any experience with this hardware
-
- thanks
