- YOu did it all right. The problem is the tape device that you are
- attempting to use. With ISC 3.0, the scsi tape devices were named
- with the following format:

- /dev/rmt[ctrlr]t[lun]

- So if your exabyte is on the first controller and is at lun 4 the
- name will be:
-
- /dev/rmt0t4
-
- We have used an Exabyte 8500 for quite a while with no problems.

- The only issue is that while the drive is capable of writing 8200
- compatible tapes, there is no way under ISC to get it to do so (you
- can't send the SCSI command to the tape drive).
