- NIS in AT&T USL UNIX System V Rel. 4.0 Version 4 (for Intel386 family)

- Not successful in setting pc as a client:
- (our yp master is on sun elc, running on sunOS 4.1.2)

- -appended '+::0:0:::' to /etc/passwd and '+:' to /etc/hosts files

- -ypinit -c (is ok)

- -ypbind is running

- -ypwhich -m is working(shows all maps)

- -ypmatch userid passwd is not working(can't match key user in map passwd,
- Reason: no such map in server's domain) however,
- ypmatch userid passwd.byname is working

- -'chown' userid filename ....unknown user id ___

- it seems to me that the entry in the yp passwd is not accessible.
