- Since I haven't seen any information here on the subject, I figured
- there might be some interest in UnixWare, the initial 80X86 UNIX
- product of the joint venture between USL and Novell.
-
- There is a *pile* for information available for anyone with a fax
- machine and a few spare rolls of fax paper. One of the choices available
- by calling 800-4-UNIVEL (801-568-8548) is a "faxback" system which allows
- you to request one of a number of documents. You can order a catalogue
- (actually, there are four catalogues), but I can save you some time by
- giving some specific document numbers for the most important ones:
-
- Company & Product Overview (10pg) 2010
- Pricing and Availability (5pg) 2015
- Product Datasheet/Brochure (6pg) 2020
- Univel Software Developer Program (6pg) 4010
- Hardware Compatability Test Program (?) 4050
-
- The complete "Hardware Compatability Handbook" is also available this
- way, but watch out --- it's 68 pages! It's split into sections, each of
- which is a separate FaxBack document number:
-
- Computer Systems 2035
- Host Adaptors 2036
- Network Adaptors 2037
- Tape Drives 2038
- Mass Storage Devices 2039
- Multiport Adaptors 2040
- Video Adaptors 2041
- Multi-Video Adaptors 2042
- Terminal Servers 2043
- X Terminals 2044
- Pointing Devices 2045
- Printers 2046
-
- I will try to post more information on the issue, once I get back from
- out of town. We only received our Univel Dealer Authorization last week
- and there's much to learn.
-
- It's time to buy more fax paper.
