  11. Hi there!  I have ISC 3.0 with the FD_S3.0 patch diskette running
  12. on a non-DTK (the real name escapes me, Cirrus maybe?) 486 motherboard
  13. with an Adaptec 1542B.  I have hooked up an Exabyte EXB-8500 to it and
  14. have configured HPDD to recognize it as a generic SCSI tape drive.
  15. However, I seem to missing a step or two because /dev/tape is still
  16. unrecognized.

  18. Are there any special hardware/software configuration steps that I
  19. have to perform?  Is my ISC version OK, or do I have to upgrade?
