- Thanks to all of the helpful people who responded to my post. I
- now have a working 1024x768x256 X11R4 (Yay!).

- The fix I used was to configure the power-up settings in the ATI
- Ultra's EEPROM, setting it for 8514/A and 16bit data paths (using
- the MSDOS 'install' program that came with the card). It works
- great now.

- I suppose that this was necessary because the board was _emulating_
- the IBM 8514 board, so the software was not expecting to have to
- configure it for 8514 mode. Yes? No?

- A couple of people suggested getting the ISC UNIX 3.01 upgrade disks.
- Would this be able to configure the ATI board correctly so that I
- wouldn't have to go through MSDOS?
