  11.     I installed AT&T UNIX on a 386/33 ISA with 16 MB RAM, DPT ESDI with 4.5MB
  12. cache and a MAXTOR 330 MB HD.  Installation partitions  the HD to 10% DOS
  13. PARITION and the rest to UNIX by default;  I selected 9% DOS 71% UNIX
  14. and left the 20% UNUSED. (I figured I might create another filesystem later.)

  16. - Problem #1:   How can I access the 3rd parition (20%) in UNIX as a file-
  17.                 system using the "mkfs" command? what is that parition called?
  18.                 Is it reasonable to set it up as a spare 'root' fs with
  19.                 some critical utilities?

  21. - Problem #2:   I frequently need to 'doscp' unix files to the dos parition,
  22.                 and the doscp process hangs when I'm writing large files 1+MEG
  23.                 Weird directories are created on dos somtimes that I had to
  24.                 use NORTON in dos to remove them.  I formatted the DOS
  25.                 parition with 3.0 3.3 & 5.0 versions of DOS to no avail.

  27. - Problem #3:   WIndows 3.0 hangs at startup screen when I run it after booting
  28.                 from the DOS parition.

  31. - Problem #4:   Why does 'root' file free block count become out of sync with
  32.                 copy in memory if machine is not shutdown after 20+ users
  33.                 use it for wp daily for 1 month? e.g. fsck shows ,say, 40% free
  34.                 and dfspace shows 0.5% free.
  35.                 HOW DO YOU RECOVE FROM THIS? I had to reinstall system twice.
