- We're currently running an Everex system with a 486/33 CPU and SCO Unix
- 3.2.4. We're considering purchasing a UPS (recommendations, anyone?)
- and was wondering if any one has implemented an automatic shutdown (or
- halt) when the UPS detects a power outtage.
-
- We want to set up Unix-based turn-key systems for end-users who have
- little computer expertise with high reliability. UPS is one way of
- acheiving that goal by ptentially allowing for a "smooth" shutdown of
- the system. Automatic backups using DAT cartridges is another aspect
- we're considering.
-
- Thanks,
- Chuck
