  14. It really appears as if all calls to the gethostbyname() are simply
  15. getting into some sort of stalled state. When I try things like ping
  16. with the hostnames it just stops until I hit break. But when I try the
  17. IP address it works just fine.

  19. I'm not sure when this started happenning but recently I installed the
  20. Basic Networking package and configured sendmail. Besides this there
  21. have been no changes. Since I am not hooked up to a network I noticed it
  22. after some time had passed.

  24. Has anyone seen this on their system? I'm running ISC 2.2.1 with TCP/IP
  25. 1.2 on a 386 AT.
