- Well, it WAS written in response to being completely PISSED at the lack of
- handling of common requirements by the Unix vendors. I waited until SVR4's
- ttymon came out before doing the code, thinking that USL had finally gotten
- the idea and was going to do it right.
-
- Boy, was I disappointed.
-
- Why is it that I always end up writing utilities to do things that any DOS
- BBS operator takes for granted (like handling modems correctly)?
-
- What the hell was Unix intended for anyway? All hard-wired terminals? I
- guess so. Anyway, enough flaming at the vendors. I got upset, and solved
- the problem.

- Good, although these deficiencies should ALSO be able to be handled from a
- reasonable "getty" work-alike.
-
- Anyway, glad to hear the current WB ROMs are good -- seeing as I intend to
- buy quite a few in the next month or two for ddsw1! My system is getting
- too many busy signals these days. While the Supras aren't bad, I need some
- of those Turbo-PEP models to keep people who feed from me happy.
-
- If you're interested in just what kind of things TROLL can do, send email or
- call the system to have a peek at the number below (all the modems on it are
- handled by the package)
