- We're having problems with our new 486 machine running "INTERACTIVE UNIX
- System V/386 Release 3.2". When trying to copy a LARGE (7 Mb) file from
- a NFS-mounted filesystem to a local filesystem, TCP/IP consistently
- hangs ... ie. the machine becomes unreachable, ping doesn't work, etc.
-
- We didn't have this problem running the same software on a 386 box,
- although NFS was not anywhere near reliable, and 'twas mighty slow :-)
-
- Here's the relevant /etc/fstab entry (names changed to protect the
- innocent):
-
- raygun:/remote/fs /local/fs NFS,rsize=4096,wsize=4096
-
- Our setup:
- Core Base - Version 2.2.1
- INTERACTIVE TCP/IP - Version 1.2.0
- INTERACTIVE NFS-Version 2.1
-
- Has anyone else had similar problems with Interactive? Do later revs of
- Interactive, TCP/IP and/or NFS fix this problem??
-
- Please email. Thanks in advance.
