- Ascii yes. It's fairly seldom you edit a binary in a wordprocessor.

- You are right, Word can not do EVERYTHING Emacs can do, becuase Emacs
- is an operating system. OTOH, as far as text entry, or word processing
- goes, Word blows emacs away.

- BTW, probably 60% of computers are used PRIMARILY for wordprocessing.
