- Do you know of a utility for keeping the contents of two directories
- consistent (identical)? Or could a shell hacker send me a tcsh
- script?
-
- I'm looking for the equivalent of the TI-Explorer
- "balance-directories" -- something that checks file dates and copies
- them in *either direction* to make the directories consistent.
-
- The point of this: I'm on a distributed file system called AFS. It
- goes down a little too often for my tastes. So I keep my work on my
- workstation disk as well. I want a script to run at the end of the day
- so my work is backed up on AFS. I also want to be able to edit
- remotely on AFS when at home and update the workstation disk when I
- come into my office. The "parcel" utility won't do it because it
- updates only in one direction (AFS->local). I need something that
- doesn't make any assumptions about what machine the directories are
- on.
-
- Thanks. Please reply directly to me at suthers+@pitt.edu.
