  15. I assume that the problem is some act of blatent stupidity on my part, but
  16. why is it that every program without an included makefile that I download 
  17. from an FTP server never compiles?  I try cc, gcc, and all of the other C
  18. compilers and I always get a page of errors.  Would someone please inform
  19. me of my mistake?
