  14.     I am trying to write a program that will talk to a Unix tty, that is 
  15. connected to a modem, and will change the modem configuration via the hayes 
  16. 'at' command set.  Has anyone out there ever attempted such a thing before?  
  17. Any comment and/or suggestion on how to approach such a task would be 
  18. greatly appreciated.
