  12. I vaguely remember that is is possible (at least in pure BSD) to pass
  13. open file descriptors between processes.  I think UNIX domain sockets
  14. had something to do with it.  But I can't find anything about it in
  15. the HP-UX or SunOS manual pages.  Could somebody refresh my memory
  16. please?
