  10. A week ago, I ran into problems installing 386BSD on an EISA machine
  11. with an Ultrastor Ultra 24F SCSI host adaptor.  I gave it another try
  12. today, and here's what I've got:

  14. I set up the host adaptor so that the wd driver likes it.  I can mount
  15. the 386BSD partition, write to it, and read from it.  But I can't boot
  16. from the hard drive.

  18. I have tried the standard dist.fs and the cgd (?) one, and neither
  19. seem to do the trick.  I suspect it is the boot block, because the
  20. machine gets stuck in an infinite reboot loop without displaying anything
  21. on the screen.

  23. I've looked in several places, but I haven't seen any other boot blocks.
  24. Booting from floppy works fine and I will even settle for that if there
  25. is a way to mount the hard drive as the root file system.  (I used to do
  26. that with Linux, so there must be a way.)  Any help would be appreciated.

  28. I also have a general 386BSD question.  Could someone post a list of
  29. every "option" that we can use with our config files?  I believe I have
  30. most of them, but I would like all.

  32. I received mail from several people trying to get 386BSD running on this 
  33. same type of system.  To them:  I haven't forgotten about you.  I have your 
  34. addresses and will let you know when I get it running.
