  15. As promised, 'tc' version 3.10 is now available here on jagubox via
  16. anon-ftp (it can be mailed too if need be). 'tc' is a replacement
  17. for Apple's 'tc' (version 1.4) included with A/UX 3.0 and provides
  18. some substantial (I hope) improvements and capabilties over 1.4.
  19.  
  20. NOTES for Golden version of 'tc' (version 3.10).
  21.  
  22.     o 'tc' can now read/write "variable" block sizes. As with
  23.       blocking to the tape drive's physical blocksize, this is
  24.       included only to help read/write tapes that will be used
  25.       on other platforms. This mode is a _real_ performance
  26.       dog, since variable block lengths are emulated by
  27.       changing the physical block size of the tape to 1byte
  28.       (A/UX's SCSI Manager doesn't support true variable block
  29.       lengths). See tc.1.Z for more info.
  30.     o Various (minor) bug fixes, mainly with Teac 150 support.
  31.     o Timeout time for offloading increased to include possible
  32.       rewind time.
  33.     o 'mt' minor update (to 3.01) to support updated 'tc'.
