  16. Doesn't come with it, but there is one availavle apparently.  When I got my
  17. UNIX (used) the guy was selling the FORTAN with it.  I see no reason to
  18. corrupt the system, though.  :)

  23. It's got X windows with Open Look.  What ever happened to the Motif that was
  24. always in the articles they wrote about AMIX, anyway?  I'd much rather use
  25. Motif than OL anyday.  SL/IP is in there, and I have sucessfully used it to
  26. talk with a 386BSD system.  In fact it was much less painful to set it up
  27. to talk via SL/IP than UUCP, but a local provider charges 5x more to give a
  28. SL/IP feed than a UUCP one.  *shrug*

  32. Archive Viper and Caliper CP-150/Commodore 3070 (which can apparently get gotten
  33. through a place in this months Amiga World for $350.  Not a bad price).

  35. I think if you're planing to run it on your 500, you might want to expect
  36. problems, though.  I got my 3K with the intent of running UNIX on it the
  37. whole time.  Even thought I had to wait a fricking YEAR to get the thing...
  38. Almost 2, actually.  :(
