- Heh, wish I had got mine that way... Anybody see the prices

- =
- Mostly people who use UNIX at the office/school and want to
- play with it at home. Since AmigaUNIX has no commercial apps
- it's a hackin' machine. With 2.1 AmigaUNIX you have a fairly
- stable SVR4 box with ALOT of PD code it can compile.

- Well, if you have AmigaUNIX 1.1 just forget it and reclaim
- the disk space for ADOS. If you REALLY want UNIX then use the
- 1.1 boot floppy to upgrade to AmigaUNIX 2.1 for $299, 2 user,
- or $499.00 unlimited user.
-
- If you have 2.03 you might also want to consider turning in
- the boot floppy and upgrade to 2.1 if you are REALLY serious about
- using UNIX.
-
- In either of the above cases make SURE you get the 2.1a patchdisk
- as it fixes some ethernet and uucp problems in 2.1.
-
- If you have 2.1 AmigaUNIX consider yourself damn lucky, get the
- patchdisk if you don't already have it and then sit down with the
- 4 nice manuals shipped with AmigaUNIX 2.1 and go through them. They
- are pretty good intro manuals.
-
- By the way, did you get the 8M/200M UX or the, wretch-puke-hurl
- 4M/100M UX? If you got the 4M/100M forget about UNIX, it isn't
- worth the grief on a machine that small... B^(.
-
- Let us know how it goes,
