- Forgive the ignorance, but I just bought a 3000ux - not for unix, but
- simply for Amiga Dos. The price was extremely good for just a plain
- 3000 that unix was simply a free bonus.
-
- Question:
- What good is Unix to me? How can I make use of it? What do most
- people reading this newsgroup do with their unix machines?
-
- Initially I'd just like to learn the ins and outs of the command
- structure, learn my way around some of the unix shells, etc... The
- current USENET site that I am writing this from is menu driven, with
- the option to go into shell - currently I am only capable of using
- the menus, but would like to get a better grasp on whats really behind the
- system I'm using.
-
- Any suggestions on how I can make the most of my machine would be
- greatly appreciated.
