  16.     I have a csh aliases that look like:
  17.     alias l 'ls -lts \!*'
  18.     alias lh 'l \!* | head'
  19.     Thus lh gives the top ten lines of a long listing.  I have never
  20.     had a problem with this alias on any other machine.  But on this
  21.     AIX system, sometimes in the middle of a session use of this alias
  22.     will suspend the job in background, and give the message, "Background
  23.     write."  Logging out, then in again fixes it.  What's going on?
