  27. Please arrange to come by our offices off hours to do full backups on
  28. our systems, full installs and setup from the new set of tapes you
  29. describe, and full recovery of the disks to their current state.

  31. After three sets of defective tapes it's a little hard for me to have
  32. much confidence that yet another set of tapes will be OK unless they
  33. are tested and proven. I don't need to find this out in a crunch and
  34. by surprise and go through another week of downtime trying to locate a
  35. working set of tapes. While you are here you can pick up the defective
  36. tapes and do what you like with them.

  38. The entire assumption of your note is that my time is far less
  39. valuable than that of IBM employees, and you can make your judgements
  40. discounting my time and trouble. I disagree entirely with this
  41. assessment, perhaps putting in a long weekend here (assuming all goes
  42. well, or possibly a week) will make the matter more understandable to
  43. you.
