  14. I'm trying to get slip working, but, well, something seems to be wrong.
  15. When I configure sl0 via SMIT, all seems to be ok.
  16.  
  17. When I, however, try to ping or telnet to the destination address, I'm
  18. told that
  19.   network is not currently reachable
  20. (Of course, if i leave sl0 undefined, I won't get this message but a 
  21. timeout)

  23. When I do 'ifconfig sl0', all seems to be fine...

  25. Well, maybe i didn't understand the meaning of ADDRESS and DESTINATION
  26. ADDRESS.

  28. The fact that a route is automatically set up after defining sl0 led me
  29. to the belief that the destination address needn't be within the
  30. local network address!?

  32. Is 'slattach' needed after setting up sl0 via SMIT? I thought no, but
  33. now I'm unsure about nearly everything ;)
