  13. Hi, our ibm540(aix3.1.5) crashed this morning. The machine is stuck with
  14. flashing 888 on LED after 551 in booting process. After retrieving the 
  15. crash code and dump status code according operator guid, we powered off the
  16. machine and rebooted it again and it was stuck at the same point.
  17. The crash code is 300 and dump status code is 0c4 which represent 'data 
  18. storage interrupt from the processor' and 'dump did not complete' according
  19. to ibm manu.
  20. When 551 appears in the booting process, there are some strange sound, which
  21. may signal disk failure. So we run diagnotics, and get following error message:
