- How does one get AIX to recognise an FDDI adapter card once installed?
-
- This is 3.2.2 running on a 550H. We have installed the code that came
- on the floppy with the card (FDDI Network Adapter Microcode V1.01).
-
- There seems to be no way of doing it in SMIT. "Configure devices added
- after IPL" or cfgmgr do not help.
-
- I assume mkdev might do it, if one knew all the parameters, but I can't
- find out what they are. The only documentation that came with the card
- was an updated version of the Common Service Guide, which only talks
- about the hardware, as far as I can see.
-
- Any ideas anyone? Many thanks in advance.
