  14. This one is driving me nuts.. If anyone has any idea as to what is going
  15. on I would be really happy. This is the set up.

  17. A Mac application that talks to a specific server on a variety of Unix
  18. platforms. It works fine on everything. Part of this application's
  19. function is to perform file transfers, it uses ftp. This works on ALL
  20. configurations except ONE! What happens on this one is as follows:

  22. The application is connected and happy. It wants to perform a file
  23. transfer so it establishes a connection to the FTP well-known-port using
  24. MacTCP. The connection is created and I go for an ActiveOpen. This
  25. returns mac error -23015 which, translated, means: The connection came up
  26. halfway and then failed.

  28. Why why why WHY!!!!!!!!! If I run other mac applications that use ftp
  29. protocols it works all right. Is there some negotiation going on between
  30. the TCP peers that is failing? Is there something at the UNIX end? Is
  31. there something I should tell someone?
