- Second IFIP International Workshop on Hardware/Software Codesign
- ================================================================
-
- Codes/CASH '93
- Innsbruck, Austria
- May 24th - 27th, 1993
-
- sponsored by IFIP WG 10.5 in cooperation with IFIP WG 10.2
-
- Call for Participation
- ----------------------
-
- The second Codes/CASH workshop addresses theoretical aspects, methods, and
- tools for hardware/software codesign. Hardware/software
- co-design techniques aim at the improvement of the development of heterogeneous
- systems. The goals of HW/SW co-design techniques are the functional
- optimization of systems, optimization of the development process, cost
- reduction, and the reduction of development time.
-
- This workshop will promote
- existing approaches and provide an informative exchange forum to report
- and learn about current developments in this area. In addition, contacts
- between research institutes and industrial development sites will be
- established. Future trends and requirements will be discussed.
- Representatives from industry and academia are encouraged to present
- research activities, case studies, and applications. Areas of interest
- include but are not limited to:
-
- - Current (industrial) development processes for heterogeneous systems
- - Future requirements on development processes
- - Hardware/software co-design applications and case studies
- - Heterogeneous system design, modeling, and simulation techniques (and languages)
- - Strategies for delayed hardware/software partitioning
- - Hardware/software interface consistency management
- - Concurrent design management
- - CAD tool support for hardware/software co-design
- - Theoretical aspects of hardware/software co-design
-
-
- The attendee contributions will lay the basis of the working sessions.
- Authors are asked to submit three copies of an extended summary, along with three
- keywords describing the contents of their papers
- by February 12th, 1993. To encourage a free exchange of ideas,
- no proceedings will be published and no recording devices will be
- permitted.
