  17. This work is being done by the Nagiya Research Group at the Ohio State 
  18. University. The Nagiya work has evolved from the Chameleon project at OSU. The
  19. purpose of this group is to expand upon the Chameleon foundation of automatic 
  20. translator generation to support multiple data models.

  22. Nagiya is a word from the Oglala Sioux Indian dialect meaning - the retention 
  23. of a spiritual essence regardless of physical form.
  24.  
  25. This technical report is the beginning of our efforts to better understand
  26. the transformation of information as it is passed between applications and 
  27. data models.
